The 2015 Peyrabon has a perfumed bouquet driven by the 51% Merlot, crushed strawberry and redcurrant aromas neatly entwined with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a fine line of acidity, good density towards the finish that delivers an attractive spiced aftertaste. This is very fine and should drink well for a decade.

Bright ruby hue, with tones of garnet beginning to appear on the rim. On the nose, lifted notes of fresh vanilla, red and black cherries, dried peppermint, black raspberries, and violets. Full-bodied, but not imposingly so, with a New World boldness and freshness. Big, grippy tannins with a great deal of power are balanced by fresh acidity and a nice concentration of flavor on the palate. The elegant finish alternates between sweet oak spices and the pure-fruit character. Drink now–2030.

Subtle notes of ripe apple combine with hints of shortbread on the nose of this wine. The palate adds notions of juicy, ripe, yellow plum. All is fruity but subtle. The fine mousse adds freshness and roundness to this lovely dry sparkler.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Toumalin leaps from the glass with lively notes of crushed red and black cherries, warm black plums and boysenberries plus hints of violets, black tea and wild sage. Medium to full-bodied with a firm, grainy texture and loads of freshness, it has a taut, crunchy fruit core and vibrant finish.

This marries lively cherry and raspberry with plenty of savory and earthy character, packed into a rather sleek package with enough acidity to keep it fresh at the finish. Thanks to that balance and no oak, it is very food-friendly. Drink now.

The 2018 la Tour de Ségur has a deep garnet-purple color and features expressive notes of mulberries, baked blueberries and Christmas cake with touches of mocha, Chinese five spice and cardamom. Full, rich and packed with black and blue berry preserves, it has a velvety texture and soft freshness, finishing spicy.

A classy, complex nose of passion fruit, mango, lemon tart and gooseberry. Great intensity on the savoury palate with a smokey undertone. Creamy hazelnuts, yuzu zest and green fruits, seasoned with vanilla seeds, lead to a touch of spice on the finish.

Pale apricot color with aromas of pomegranates, grapefruit, rosemary, lavender and peaches. Fresh and delicate, yet fragrant and flavorful, with a medium body and bright acidity. Lovely fresh pink fruit. Drink and enjoy.

Lurid violet color. Mineral-accented dark berry and cherry liqueur scents are complicated by hints of candied violet and licorice. Sweet, perfumed and expansive on the palate, offering intense boysenberry and cherry that tighten up slowly on the back half. Blends richness and energy smoothly and finishes very long and sappy, with velvet tannins coming in late.

Perfumed cherry aromas give this crisp, juicy wine immediate appeal. It is still young with its fruit right up front, but will age well. Drink from 2023.

Lovely freshness offset by rich orchard fruit and gentle nuttiness in this enjoyable fizz that delivers a lot for its price tag. The blend is dominated by Chenin Blanc (10% of which from reserve wines) and the variety’s trademark woolly creaminess gives weight to the lifted linden, grapefruit and peach aromas.
