Tasting notes
In this densely textured wine, wood-aging flavors balance jammy black-plum fruits. The wine comes from a top vineyard in the appellation, giving a full structure and powerful fruitiness. This is a wine to age, so wait until 2023.
More about this wine
The Domaine Labruyère Cœur de Terroirs Moulin-à-Vent 2019 comes from one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the Moulin-à-Vent Cru of Beaujolais. Known for its granite and quartz-rich soils, Moulin-à-Vent is often called the "King of Beaujolais" as it produces the most structured, concentrated, and age-worthy Gamay wines that can often be mistaken for fine Burgundy Pinot Noir. The Cœur de Terroirs (Heart of the Terroirs) cuvée is a blend from the estate's top vineyard plots, made from old vines ("Vieilles Vignes"), giving the wine impressive density and depth.

It marries the signature fruit of Gamay with the concentration and structure of its unique granite terroir, resulting in a wine that is drinking beautifully now after decanting, but which has a proven capacity to evolve in the cellar for 5-15 years.
